Here is what some of her interns have said about her:
MONA AGBUDUWE
Sofia has been an excellent advisor and supervisor to me as I have been in my journey to licensure! At every twist and turn and possible downside, she has always been right there to help me analyze the situation and do what was best according to the laws and rules based on her knowledge. She is extremely knowledgeable and has helped me to look through the lenses of different theories in order to help my clients and become an even better therapist. Working with her has been one of the best experiences that I've had with a supervisor. She has always been welcoming and helped me with any indecision's that I may have had. Thank you so much, Sofia!
ROCIO MORRIS
Sofia's been my supervisor for over a year now and I had a very fruitful experience under her supervision thus far! She shows a sincere interest in her supervisees and lends immediate guidance and support. She constantly stimulates growth in and understanding of the mental health field. Sofia is always readily available for support with any questions or concerns I may have. She continues to help me develop appropriate, professional goals in working with my clients to serve them as best as I can. Sofia creates a safe, comfortable and engaging environment for her supervisees to achieve optimal learning.
CASSIE CHRYSOSTOME
It is such an honor to learn from Sofia. She is a compassionate therapist and supervisor.
She is very helpful and always available to answer questions. Her focus allows everyone to develop in different clinical models. She also creates space to work on the licensure exam.
I also like the way the meetings are set up because it allows everyone to be exposed to many different types of populations and clinical issues.
