"You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending."

C.S. Lewis

Are you experiencing issues with relationships, communication, parenting?

Does your self-esteem or self-confidence feel shaken up lately?

Are you struggling with mental health issues like depression, anxiety, PTSD, mood disorders, or conduct disorders?

Having a hard time managing emotions or thoughts? Feeling stuck or lost?

Losing hope? Wishing that things were different?

If you answered yes to any of these, you’re not alone! It would be my honor to help you get to a place of genuine happiness, peace, and hope.

ARE YOU READY TO FIND SOLUTIONS?

I often say that therapy is not for people who are “crazy” or “broken”, but for those who want to become better versions of themselves. In fact, I believe that anyone could benefit from therapy! No one is perfect, and everyone goes through life’s challenges. And, although there are a lot of things we can handle on our own, there are times in which we can find relief and things may get untangled or solved faster if we ask for help from unbiased person we can trust. That’s where I come in!

Try to picture what you want your life to be like: You feel truly happy and satisfied with your life; your relationships are healthy and strong; your physical, mental, and spiritual health are where you want them to be; you remember negative or even traumatic experiences, but you also see yourself having gotten through them and have become a much stronger person because of them; you have hope and like where you’re headed... I wish to help you get there.

Even if you have some reservations about participating in therapy, you should also be very proud of yourself – and maybe even excited! – to take this next step in becoming a better you.

THERAPEUTIC APPROACH

My life’s passion is to serve others and help them improve their own lives. In therapy, I strive to create a space where you feel comfortable, safe, understood, validated, and free of judgement, and where you can be as open, vulnerable, and genuinely yourself as you can, while also finding change in a respectful and helpful way, where you can learn new skills to improve your life, and where you can heal, find balance, and see positive changes in your life.

I work with many models of therapy, but I choose them carefully to meet your unique needs and to best help you. Some of these include:

1. Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), which focuses on your strengths and resources and what is already working well in order to empower you to find solutions to your areas of concern.

2. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which focuses on recognizing and changing unhelpful ways of thinking to improve how you feel and what you do.

3. Alternatives for Families: A Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (AF-CBT), which is a powerful combination of CBT, individual therapy, family therapy, and parenting training to improve family relationships and interactions.

4. EFT Tapping for Trauma and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), two very effective therapy models used to help you gently process traumatic experiences to help you heal from them and reduce symptoms of PTSD and other mental health issues associated with trauma.

5. The Gottman Method for couples therapy, which focuses on improving communication and interactions, resolving conflict, and becoming a closer and more cooperative couple.

6. Brief Strategic Family Therapy, which helps parents and their children improve their relationship and interactions, create more helpful patterns of behavior, and develop a stronger hierarchy, and

7. Active Parenting, a parenting training curriculum that helps parents take a more active role in their children’s growth and development to improve their behavior and ways of thinking and raise them to become healthier, happier, more confident, and more responsible members of society.

My overall therapeutic approach is that, yes, I’m the expert of different therapy modalities, but you are the expert of your own life, so we will work together, on the same level, and as a team to help you make the positive changes that you want to see in your life.
